Speakers
Rupa Patel, MD & Fahd Ahmad, MD
Our session speakers this month are Dr. Rupa Patel and Dr. Fahd Ahmad. Dr. Patel is an innovator in public health initiatives that provide HIV-preventive care to at-risk young adults and will talk about her success and challenges implementing the HIV pre-exposure prophylaxis paradigm. Dr. Ahmad, whose research interests parallel Dr. Patel’s, will talk on his data-driven implementation of screening mechanisms to assess adolescents in the Emergency Department for sexually-transmitted diseases. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear about the use of effective dissemination and implementation science and technology of health informatics to improve public health.
On the third Thursday of every month , ICTS Precision Medicine hosts a session featuring WashU faculty working in translational genomics/precision medicine areas. Talks are typically oriented toward technology, diagnostics, informatics, and precision interventions based on clinical genotypes and phenotypes. Some of the talks encompass biotechnology and/or entrepreneurial efforts and opportunities.
